Ran out of memory sounds like a RAM issue but it could also be Video Card RAM as well, how much system RAM do you have and how much Graphics Card RAM do you have?

EDIT: Make sure you view the system requirements as well if you haven't before.

SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS

MINIMUM:
OS: Windows 7 SP1, 8 or 8.1, 10 -- 64 bit version
Processor: 2.6+ Ghz Dual Core Processor
Memory: 4 GB RAM

DirectX: Version 11
Network: Broadband Internet connection
Additional Notes: KB/M and Controller: PS4, XBox and Steam Go (mobile): 680M, 780M / Mobility: 7970M

RECOMMENDED:
OS: Windows 7 SP1, 8 or 8.1, 10 -- 64 bit version
Processor: 3.0 Ghz Quad Core Processor
Memory: 8 GB RAM
Graphics: NVidia: GTX 580, GTX 670, GTX 960 / ATI: HD 5970, 7870 LE (XT), 7950, 280, 285

I don't think you need 16,000 Petabytes to play H-Hour... I could be wrong, it's been a couple weeks.

However, what are your system specs? This seems like it may have had a memory leak. There's an error log when you crash, go grab the log and set it aside to send to SOFs. It will be in <STEAM HOME FOLDER>/HHourGame/Saved/Logs (Someone correct me if I'm wrong - I'm doing this from memory). There should be a "crash report" file created. Be sure to save that file as soon as possible so you don't lose it.

Can you describe what you were doing before the system crash? How often are you crashing, etc.

My game crashed to the menu screen last night. Unfortunately I didn't catch the error. I can say that I was using the mic and other input keys simutaniously when it froze

You're fine then, it was more than likely just a memory leak as mentioned above, many games have them and especially during early test phases that eventually get fixed. Path of Exile which is a huge game player wise has been out for years and still has memory leak issues, the best a developer can do if they can't eliminate them all is eliminate the ones that cause problems. (Ones that eventually lead to massive memory usage like yours)

Yeah they do need a new UI. I've had my screen freeze when throwing a nade. But didn't crash though.

I did not see the error.  The message will not display. What map was it on? Going into the lobby on Desert Raid?

Epic released some crash fixes for their engine with the latest hotfix and these will be included in our next patch. Desert Raid is once again turned off on the servers for now until we can figure out what is up with that map causing crashes. Engine moves are always painful until stability is achieved once again but we are close and expect the next patch will go a long way to clearing those we can control.

We do not have any memory leaks that would cause the issue described by the OP but Epic and NVidia are aware of an issue with NVidia drivers and the engine and are working to try and find solutions. I suspect that is what happened to the OP with this out of memory error. We are keeping an eye out for the fix. In the meantime, Epic and NVidia are recommending users upgrade their NVIDIA drivers to 381.89
