Player models lag the game DRASTICALLY (30+ frame difference in 4v4 vs 8v8)

On several maps having a full room of 16 players drastically drops frames. I can play just fine solid 60fps on the most clustered maps in a 4v4 but when it's an 8v8, without any gunfire or explosions there is a consistent 20-30fps dip.

Can something be done about this? Before anyone asks, multiple PCs, can reach up to 400fps sometimes. But having a full 16 vs having a 4v4 literally makes a 30fps difference, especially on my lower end PCs.

Can we get lower poly characters or something? In Super Mario 64 on the Nintendo64 there was two mario models. A highpoly mario (default) and a low poly mario which only appeared during certain specific areas or when mario was too far away (too much clutter on screen) to prevent any sort of lag.

I think HHour could benefit GREATLY from having  low/high poly characters at certain distance.

To be honest, they've been modeling since June and we got them re characterized . So I doubt this will happen. Maybe when pc release comes that will be fixed right now there working on new patch only. Until then I will probably play different games like others are doing

There is optimization coming in next patch that will help but it sounds like you are pushing your system so need to turn things down to get the performance you expect. I doubt the issue here is just characters, I suspect it is replication with more events happening with a full server.

Rosie rascal thanks for commenting. So there will be optimization for overall gameplay not just specific maps. Hopefully you guys find out what causes lag in this game (especially in gun fights with no drop in fps, good ping , fiber internet )

We can also "confirm" there will be no aiming fix in the next patch.

Tcon just said it's "noted". Hopefully that comes next because It'd be great to get those super percise shots through a small crack in a wall.
